AGROINDUSTRIAS SANTA MÓNICA (SANTA MONICA QUALITY FOODS)

Agroindustrias Santa Monica is a company whose vision is to boost the horticultural industry in Panama in order to satisfy the local market and then export food. It consists of 2 hectares of greenhouses where melon, watermelon and cucumber are currently grown, with a goal of reaching 30 hectares to expand production.

Agroindustrias Santa Monica is also responsible for promoting agricultural education, research and development, as well as promoting investments in technified agriculture, through the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Universidad Latina de Panamá and Interworld Panamá.

LECHERÍA SANTA MÓNICA SRL

Lechería Santa Mónica is a dairy project in partnership with the US company Alliance Dairies, an alliance that aims to become the country’s leading milk producer.

The project currently produces more than 2,000 liters per day with 120 cows in milking and 320 animals in total. By the end of 2017 it is estimated that Lechería Santa Mónica has 350 milking cows and 650 animals in total since one of the objectives of the business is also to supply milk processing companies in the country. The current production is mainly marketed among the dairies in Panama.
